How do I change my name when I get divorced?

You or your spouse may request a name change as part of your divorce as long as you or your spouse are returning to a former name/maiden name and the change is not for any fraudulent purpose such as avoiding debts.

This allows you or your spouse to change names without filing a separate action and without the publication requirements usually associated with a name change case.
